For those who are new here, I’m Ciara Ingram👋🏽, the founder of EFW.

Emerging Frameworks started as a passion project I worked on in my spare time while juggling a full-time role at SLAM Media Inc. (SLAM Magazine). By day, I was a video producer and editor, telling the stories of rising basketball athletes in women’s and girls’ basketball culture. By night, I was interviewing up-and-coming creators I met during gallery hops and through Emerging Frameworks’ growing digital community.

I was slowly but surely building the very community I longed for while navigating my own creative journey in New York City. Through this process, I learned a powerful truth: while you can accomplish a lot on your own, the seemingly impossible becomes possible through community.

That’s why I created Emerging Frameworks—to be a space where emerging creators and independent artists can connect, grow, and support one another.
